How to use these cards
How to use these cards
Each card has a front (dark, navy) and a back (light, cream). Print on thick paper and cut along the card edges for best results. Or simply read them on screen - they work digitally too.
There's no right order. Any card makes a great conversation starter. Insight cards share a fact. Scenario cards pose a situation. Choice cards ask you to pick. Challenge and Wildcard cards involve doing something together.
One person reads the card title and content to the table. Give everyone a moment to think before jumping in. There are no right answers - the conversation is the point.
The back of each card has 2–3 discussion questions. Work through them together. Let everyone speak. The best conversations happen when you challenge each other's answers.
The irony is intentional. These cards work best with screens away. One hour, one deck, one family. That's the whole product.

Pathfinder
The Algorithmic Mirror
Your feeds are built from your past clicks, likes and pauses.
AI is constantly guessing what 'future you' will want.
Insight · 01
- If your feed is a "mirror," what parts of you is it reflecting - and what is it ignoring?
- What one small change to who you follow might change what the AI
shows you?
- Should algorithms have to tell you what they're optimising for?
Pathfinder

An hour later, you're still scrolling. The recommendations feel "too
good" at keeping you hooked.
Scenario · 02
- What tricks do you think the recommendation AI is using to keep
you watching?
- What personal rule could you set so AI works for you, not the other
way around?
- As a family, what could you do together to make screen time more intentional?
Pathfinder

Pathfinder
AI in Games and Esports
Game AI controls enemies, teammates, difficulty levels and even loot
drops.
Some games now use AI to adapt to your play style.
Scenario · 07
- When does smart game AI make a game more fun, and when does it make it more addictive or unfair?
- If you could redesign one game you love using AI, what would you change?
- Should games have to explain what their AI is doing behind the scenes?
Pathfinder
The AI-Written Essay
You have an essay due tomorrow. A friend shows you an AI tool that
writes a full answer in seconds.
It sounds good. It even passes a quick plagiarism check.
Scenario · 13

- What could the long-term costs be for your skills, confidence and trust with teachers?
- Design a personal AI use rule for schoolwork that keeps the learning truly yours.

Pathfinder
Jobs Reshaped, Not Replaced
Most jobs won't simply disappear - they'll change.
Routine tasks are more likely to be done by AI, while messy human
tasks stay with humans.
Insight · 37
- Think of a job you're curious about. Which tasks might AI do, and which will still need a human?
- Does that make the job more or less appealing to you?
